Transcription: The American JD-lined was possibly the first to patent an aerosol container. Nowadays, aerosols can contain a wide variety of products from paint to hair spray. One of the original uses was to spray parasiticides in order to kill or deter the insects that cause disease and irritation to overseas troops. Recently, there's been much concern that the fluorocarbons traditionally used used as a propellant are damaging the Earth's life-protecting ozone layer. These have now been replaced to a great extent by ozone-friendly aerosols.
